The System & The Process
What Happens During the Foundation Repair Process
The foundation repair process follows four clear steps, with one patented system and a crew that does not leave until the site looks right.

Work Site Preparation
We relocate plants from the work area, then create access holes by hand — each roughly the size of a doormat. For your safety, heavy plywood covers are placed over each hole as we complete this phase.
In most cases, no access to the inside of the home is required at this stage.

Driving the Pilings
Piling segments are pressed into the ground at each pre-determined location. With the cable running through the center of each segment, they are driven to the required depth and resistance.
A pile head is then positioned on top, concrete blocks placed directly under the foundation — and we’re ready to level. Interior access to 4–5 electrical outlets on separate circuits is required during this phase.

Leveling the Structure
An experienced Cable Lock technician directs the raise while trained crew members carefully monitor the structure’s reactions in real time.
Level readings are taken throughout the process — not just at the start and end. Once the structure is in position, work moves to the final stage.

Final Stage
Steel spacers are inserted on the concrete blocks to permanently support the structure. The access holes are backfilled and any surface concrete is replaced cleanly.
Plants are replanted, and the work areas, walks, and driveway are cleaned before the crew leaves. The job isn’t done until the site looks right.
Why it lasts
Support From Below the Soil That Moves.
Louisiana’s clay swells when it’s wet and shrinks when it’s dry. Cable Lock™ pilings are driven to resistance beneath that moving layer, then the structure is leveled on top of them.
Before the Crew Arrives
How to Prepare for the Foundation Repair Process
Most jobs are straightforward. A little preparation helps the foundation repair process move efficiently and keeps the timeline on track. Here is what to have ready.
You don’t need to be home the whole time. We do recommend being present at the start of the job so we can walk through the plan together. Interior access will be needed toward the end of the project to verify proper leveling.
Move any outdoor furniture, potted plants, or vehicles away from the areas around the foundation where access holes will be dug. The crew will relocate smaller plants, but clearing the area beforehand saves time.
The piling equipment requires 4 or 5 electrical outlets on separate circuits. Make sure interior access is available so the crew can reach them during the driving phase.
If you’ve noticed specific doors, floors, or areas that seem worse than others, mention it to the crew at the start. It helps the technician prioritize where to take level readings during the leveling phase.
Equipment, open access holes, and crew movement around the property can be stressful for animals. Keeping pets inside or off-site during the job is appreciated and keeps everyone safe.

The Foundation Repair Process Is Backed Long After the Crew Leaves.
Every qualifying Cable Lock repair comes with a written lifetime warranty — transferable to future owners if the home is ever sold. The process you just read through isn’t just how we work. It’s why the warranty means something.
Coverage is documented for the specific repair completed — not a vague verbal promise. Keep the paperwork with your other home records.
If you sell the home, the warranty can travel with it. Contact Cable Lock early when a sale is being planned so the transfer process isn’t rushed at closing.
